When I reflect on my years as a young child, some of my fondest memories are those at MCHVF. From the pink tower and counting beads to my kindergarten graduation song, I remember it all. I spent many, many years at MCHVF, not just the years I was a student there. Not only did both of my siblings attend the school, but my dad was President of the Board for many years, even after we all graduated. He was a huge part in finding the land for the current school and making MCHVF what it is today! I also worked for MCHVF as a teenager during summer camp. Those were some of my favorite summers!
Fast forward 24 years and our first child, Brynlee was born. I always knew that MCHVF was where my children would get their preschool education. I wanted them to have the same excellent staff, education, and memories of my former school. My wife, Charlotte, and I chose MCHVF for its warm environment and wonderful education. The Montessori way would definitely foster Brynlee’s sense of independence and we are seeing it already! Life really turned full circle when Mrs. Davida, my kindergarten assistant 27 years ago, was assigned as Brynlee’s teacher! What a fun experience as a parent! There’s nothing better than seeing how much Brynlee enjoys going to school every day and gets to experience all of the first-rate staff who make MCHVF so special.
I will always be a member of the MCHVF community, and can’t wait to see how Brynlee and her younger brother Beckham‘s memories are created.
