“This is my school, my place to work and play, Montessori Children’s House of Valley Forge PA!”…a melody I have known since I graduated from the school in 1987. Although 36 years have passed, I still have so many vivid memories of my time there, including the infamous Halloween parade and “weird dress-up day”, as well as the copious artistic ‘masterpieces’ I created. These types of events and experiences contributed to the special community the school has fostered over many decades.
However, what I remember most are the teachers at MCHVF encouraging me to find what I was passionate about and to have an insatiable curiosity, characteristics I’ve taken with me throughout my time at Agnes Irwin, Franklin & Marshall College, Villanova Business School, and now my career in brand management at Campbell Soup.
My biggest joy is now seeing our son, Tyler, start his Montessori journey and share in some of the same long-lasting traditions and experiences that I know will help shape who he becomes.
